We are curious and always finding ways to learn and evolve, both in what we create and offer to our clients and how we work together.

How we work

Flare Health is a remote-first company. We live in Chicago, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, the Bay Area, and Miami, and we’ve learned to collaborate effectively regardless of where team members happen to be. This creates work-life flexibility that is necessary during the pandemic and to which we are committed for the long term.

Our Commitment to You

We at Flare Health believe in creating an environment where everyone feels comfortable, respected, and heard. We value what each of our team members brings to the table and are constantly working to innovate and collaborate more effectively. When we work with and for everyone, we can design products that serve everyone.

We seek out candidates whose identities, backgrounds, and life journeys are under-represented in tech, perform regular pay equity assessments to ensure fairness within and across job roles, and bring in thoughtful leaders regularly to provide bias awareness and upstander intervention training for the whole team.

OUR TEAM

Our team of physicians, software engineers, designers, and researchers is passionate about reshaping the way people navigate healthcare and is driven by big challenges.

Moses Hohman, Cofounder and CEO

Formally trained as a physicist, Moses chose a software career because of his love for language and a practical desire to make things people use. From his early work in bioinformatics for mouse mutant models of disease to leading a startup software team to make drug discovery more collaborative, the common thread has been Moses’ delight in solving complex, multidisciplinary problems with technology. Moses has a PhD in physics from the University of Chicago and an AB magna cum laude from Harvard.

Dr. Sehjin Han, Cofounder and CMO

As both an artist and a physician, Sehjin tries to see things differently. Training in the rigors of both science and visual art, growing up in a first-generation family business, and practicing medicine across the full spectrum of clinical settings all prepared Sehjin to solve big problems by hacking practical solutions from the mundane. Sehjin is a double board-certified otolaryngologist and facial plastic reconstructive surgeon. She studied at Parsons School of Design and the School of the Art Institute, and completed her BA and MD at the University of Chicago.

At Flare Health, big ambitions are encouraged.

You should apply to work at Flare Health if you are interested in working with other smart, passionate people, in leading by doing, and in making a lasting impact on a growing company and on the healthcare industry as a whole.
